In Cranford, New Jersey, Robert Schott turned winter into a sweet surprise by sculpting a full‑size 1953 Chevy‑style Good Humor truck out of snow—complete with headlights and rims—and selling $5 ice cream bars from it. His frosty creation, nicknamed “OHSOGOOD,” has already raised over $5,000 for the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation.
The cause is personal: a close friend was treated at the hospital, and Schott’s soon‑to‑be‑104‑year‑old father once volunteered there. Neighbors helped launch the snowy truck’s “grand opening,” which drew a huge crowd, including some of the hospital’s young patients. Their joy, Schott says, made the whole chilly project worth it.
