Good Samaritans Work Together To Save Pilot

A group of strangers in Pacoima, California, rushed to rescue a pilot after a small plane crashed into the parking lot of an auto parts store. Dashcam footage shows the aircraft struck a post and power lines before flipping and landing upside down, prompting several people to rush in and lift the wreckage to free the trapped pilot. The 70-year-old man was bleeding from the nose and mouth, but still breathing when pulled from the plane. He was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he’s in critical condition.

Witnesses describe seeing sparks from downed wires and being warned to move away from vehicles as the scene was dangerous. Despite the risks, about a dozen people worked together to lift the plane and remove the pilot before first responders arrived. Officials later confirmed that no one else was injured in the crash.
