Details On The Pink Full Moon

April is making quite an entrance. Tonight, the full pink moon will light up the sky with peak illumination at 10:12 Eastern. The moon gets its name as a tip of the hat to early blooming wildflowers like creeping phlox (known as pink moss). Later this month, the night sky will again dazzle as two meteor showers will begin. The Lyrids meteor show can be seen from April 16 through 25 and the Aquariid meteor shower is April 19 through May 28.
