Trying To Scam Elderly Couple Didn't Go As Planned

Larry Schwartz and his wife Joanna were approached outside their senior center in Gramercy Park NYC by a man who asked for directions to Walmart.

The 87-year-old former boxer and former Air Force paratrooper explained to the man that there are no Walmart's in Manhattan, while a woman in an SUV motioned them over. She kissed Larry’s hand and tried to trick him into swapping his Rolex for a watch that he immediately identified as a fake. When the woman grabbed his wrist, Larry jerked her so hard she smashed her head against the roof of the vehicle and apparently caused a concussion as Joanna says she looked very glazed over and dropped the "luxury" watch she wanted to trade with Larry, while the startled man ran back to his vehicle and sped off before having to face a beatdown from an 87 year old man.

He explained to WABC-TV that he still lifts weights and boxes and wasn't fazed by the encounter in the least. "I was raised on the street and would kick most of these P_ _ _y's a_ _es"

So now Larry has 2 watches.
