Nude beaches are nothing new, they’ve been around for almost a century, but they are becoming more popular now according to USA Today. So they have put together their top 10 list.

These are the best nude beaches in the U.S.

  • Playalinda Beach in Brevard County, Florida - A specific part of the Canaveral National Seashore has been welcoming nudist visitors for decades.
  • Blind Creek Beach in Fort Pierce, Florida - The only clothing-optional beach on Florida’s Treasure Coast.
  • San Gregorio State Beach in San Gregorio, California - This sandy beach near San Francisco is enclosed by rugged bluffs and is also known as a gay nude beach.
  • Ship Island in Gulfport, Mississippi - A small part of this barrier island about 12 miles offshore is known as a nude beach.
  • Secret Cove Beach in Lake Tahoe, Nevada - It’s a one-mile hike to the shore to enjoy this clothing-optional beach.
  • Black's Beach in San Diego, California - Nudity is legal on the northern stretch of the beach.
  • Haulover Beach in Miami Beach, Florida - It’s the Sunshine State’s best-known and oldest officially recognized public nude beach.
  • Baker Beach in San Francisco, California - Located in the Presidio neighborhood, it offers views of the Golden Gate Bridge and nudists are welcome at the northern end of the beach.
  • Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, California - The north side of this beach is technically on federal land, so visitors can enjoy it in the buff.
