Rescue Teams Shocked By What They Found In The Rubble

Last week a 7.7 magnitude earthquake destroyed a large portion of the city of Mandalay in Myanmar. So far there have been 3085 confirmed dead and over 4000 shipped to hospitals according to ABC News. Rescue teams, including military and emergency services, immediately began the search for survivors. But after a couple of days or so it really went from a rescue to a recovery mission.

Workers were shocked when 5 days later they were digging through the rubble of the collapsed Mandalay Golden Country Hotel they heard a faint cry for help. They carefully moved the rubble and discovered U San Lwin (Ba) Uni, age 53 years old. Uni had been working at the hotel when the collapse happened and for 125 hours had been pinned in what he assumed would become his tomb.

When the sun hit his face for the first time in a week he sighed "thank God".
