Delish analyzed Google search data to find the most popular snacks in each state and the U.S. overall. Then they used Instacart to determine the average price of each snack nationwide. Rice Krispies Treats top the list. It’s a classic that appeals to both kids and grown-ups, thanks to the nostalgic appeal from our childhoods. And it’s the most popular gas station snack in eight states, including Washington, Nevada and Hawaii.
Beef jerky comes in second, winning in seven states, including Pennsylvania, Virginia and Kentucky.
#1 in South Carolina is Doritos nacho flavor. That's also #1 in RI while Cool Ranch Doritos are #1 in MA and ND.
