Do You Avoid Variety Packs Because Of One Flavor?

I recently had a debate with my sister in law over an energy drink we like. I gave her an Alani Nu drink when she came with me to the LSU/Gamecock game.

She told me over Thanksgiving she's now obsessed with them. I told her I get them at a discount at Sam's Club. She asked what flavors they had. I said it's just the 3 flavor variety pack 6 in grape, 6 in fruit punch and 6 in peach.

She said she didn't like peach. I said I didn't either.

"Well why buy them then?"

"Because it's like half off. You get 18 for 19. It's like 32 normally."

She says she would rather pay 32 for 18 she likes rather than 19 for 12 she likes.

"But that's $1.90 per can. Even if you only drank the 12 you like, and threw out the 6 you don't like, it would only be 1.60 per can."

"I hate throwing away unused food and drink, so I'll just keep buying the things I like".

It doesn't matter if it's drinks, oatmeal, candy bars, cereals, gum, chips or anything else that comes in a variety pack, I'll save the money and "suffer" through the flavor that's not my favorite. How about you?
