Randy Travis made a surprise appearance before a roaring crowd at the Concert for Carolina on Saturday night (October 26) in Charlotte, North Carolina. The star-studded benefit show took place at Bank of America Stadium to support hurricane relief efforts in the region in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Travis, 65, was born in Marshville, North Carolina. The legendary “Forever and Ever, Amen” singer took the stage, accompanied by his wife, Mary, who said “(home is) the feeling you get...and it’s so good to be back in North Carolina.” She encouraged others to “spend a little time saying a prayer,” for the people of North Carolina who were impacted by the hurricane last month.

North Carolina-born country stars Luke Combs and Eric Church quickly opted to plan a fundraising concert after learning about the devastation in their home state. The pair headlined the show with James Taylor and Billy Strings. Other artists joining the lineup included Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice and Parmalee. Nicole Kidman made a surprise appearance to spotlight her husband's birthday, along with Travis, “Helene” singer Wesko and others. More than 83,000 concertgoers raised more than $24 million for hurricane relief efforts during Concert for Carolina on Saturday night. It was all hosted by Caleb Pressley and Marty Smith, and live streamed on Veeps and iHeartRadio.
