Newlyweds Serve Their Wedding Food At Homeless Shelter

Tyler and Melanie Tapajna of Parma OH opted to have a small backyard wedding last weekend because so many people had told them they felt uncomfortable joining them at their wedding hall due to COVID 19. They were able to cancel the hall but the catering was non refundable. So they had them deliver the food to Laura's Home, a shelter for abused women and children in Cleveland.

They tied the knot in front of immediate family members and then drove to the shelter and served their food! The fried chicken, green beans, salad and mac and cheese that was cooked up by caterers became dinner for 135 women and kids at the shelter.

Melanie said “Of course I was sad when we couldn't have the wedding that I had dreamed of and actually planned and had paid for. But rather than focus on my disappointment I thought 'You can definitely give back in times like this."
