When it comes to snacking, everyone has their favorite chip or cookie, but what happens if a company stops making that treat. Well, that has certainly happened to a lot of people, and there’s no doubt those folks have a hard time getting over the loss of their favorite snack.
Well, a new report by 24/7 Tempo reveals the Top 40 discontinued snacks and candies Americans miss the most, and it’s bound to make some people feel nostalgic for yummier snacking times.
Among the snacks making the list (click herefor the complete list):
- Doritos 3D– Instead of a flat triangle, these were cone-shaped and came in a variety of flavors including Nacho Cheesier, Zesty Ranch and more.
- Altoids Sours– These "curiously strong" hard candies came in five flavors - raspberry, lime, tangerine, apple, and mango.
- Butterfinger BBs –Basically Butterfinger flavor in the size of a marble.
- Hershey’s Bar-None- A chocolate wafer with peanuts and a chocolate filling, all enclosed in more chocolate.
- Magic Middles– Keebler cookies with treats in the middle. They were reportedly phased out so the company could use the equipment for another item.
- Tato Skins –You know potato skins made into chips, in flavors like Cheddar Cheese n’ Bacon and Sour Cream n’ Chives.
- Reggie Bars– Named after Yankees slugger Reggie Jackson, these disappeared after Jackson left the Yankees in 1982.
- Reese’s Peanut Butter & Banana Crème Cups– These were inspired by Elvis’ favorite sandwich, peanut butter and bananas.
- Oreo Cakesters– Basically, they replaced the chocolate cookie in the Oreo with chocolate sponge cake-like discs.
- Jell-O Pudding Pops– Why eat pudding in a cup when you can have it frozen on a stick in chocolate, vanilla and banana. (Bill Cosby was their spokesperson)
