A Massachusetts teenager was inspired to do an act of kindness for health care workers in her community. Anika Sukthankar noticed people were delivering meals to local hospitals, but she saw a problem. Anika says, "I knew that people were delivering meals to local hospitals, but nobody was really taking care of the COVID-19 tents. I just felt like I needed to show my support for them in some small way."
WCVB Boston reports that Anika started reaching out to community members, friends, and family to ask for donations and raises money to buy meals for those health care workers at the testing tents. She also delivers the meals to them herself and she’s been at it since March.
“My parents have always taught me since I was little to always do your part to help, whether it’s big or small.”
