Looney Tunes is replacing Elmer Fudd's rifle for the classic versions of Bugs Bunny that will air on HBO Max according to The London Telegraph. “We’re not doing guns,” said Peter Browngardt, executive producers of the series,in an interviewwith the New York Times. “But we can do cartoony violence – TNT, the Acme stuff.”
The new series will include 80 eleven-minute episodes, each comprised of animated shorts that vary in length and include adapted storylines for today’s audience.
So to be clear Elmer will still be trying to kill Bugs, but now he'll be doing it with a sickle instead of a gun.
