A nine-year-old boy in England who can’t stand or walk on his own has completed a marathon, half a mile at a time. Tobias Weller has autism and cerebral palsy and used a walker to finish the 26.2-miles, which he did in segments going up and down his street.
He started his race 70 days ago and in the beginning, he could only go around 164-feet a day, but as time went on, he worked his way up to walking half a mile a day. Tobias has raised over $106-thousand so far for Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Paces School, which supports kids and adults with neurological conditions like his.
"I can't believe I completed a marathon, it's just awesome," he says. “It’s such a good feeling.”
