A lot of people are having a hard time paying their rent right now. Nationally, 35% of renters didn't make even a portion of their rent payment in April!
There's one landlord in California who did something amazing to help his tenants. According to KNTV the Santa Rosa landlord, whom requested to stay anonymous, says he and his wife decided to use their stimulus payment to help their renters.
The couple received $24-hundred in stimulus money that they decided to give to the renters. Then they decided to match that amount with their own money from savings, plus throw another $200 into the pile of money! With that $5000 they paid $500 of the months rent for each tenant!
The landlord explained “My wife and I spent hours talking about it and feeling bad that it wasn’t enough and we couldn’t do more. I just feel like we’re all in this together and if I can help them then I should. God put me in this position for a reason.”
