Ben Ramirez has a sign outside his Pfeiffer Street home in San Francisco that reads “Free Coffee” and he offers it to mail carriers or healthcare workers walking by.
He says he’s always wanted to do something out of the ideally located window and lives on a small street where everyone knows each other. And Ramirez is practicing safe social distancing while he delivers the coffee - he uses a toy gorilla hand to pass it out.
He had the supplies because he hopes to open a coffee house someday and this is an opportunity to get some practice, while bringing some joy and much needed “pick-me-ups” to his neighborhood.
