The surprising new hangout spot brought on by Coronavirus.

As more and more parks become crowded with people looking for a little fresh air and some exercise while on coronavirus lockdown, many are looking for an alternate place to getaway. The NY Post reports that many are now turning to graveyards as a place to hang out.

Molly Cusick and her husband checked out Prospect Park, but the sight of so many other people had them worried about spreading the disease so they chose to instead, to head to a local cemetery for some fresh air. "With the virus, we wanted to go somewhere quiet and less stressful, so the cemetery felt like a better option than Prospect Park,” she tells The Post. “You don’t have to worry about passing other people and staying 6 feet apart. It’s much more relaxing.”

“600,000 people and not a one from which we must socially distance,”

While many cemeteries remain open, some have decided to close their gates to the living. The good news is that these places are often on vast acres of land and make it easy to keep social distancing easier while outside.
