Residents of Golborne, Wigan, s suburb of Manchester England, surprised a healthcare worker with a designated parking space in front of her house. The homes don't have driveways so it's only on street parking there. The neighbors marked off a space on the road so she will always be able to find a spot when she comes home from working on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak.
They put up a sign reading: “Space Reserved. Polite Notice. Please respect the sign and give our NHS worker a chance. Thanks, the neighbors.” Several interviewed said they know her car and if they see anyone else attempting to park in her spot, their "polite notice" will be followed up with a not so polite discussion with the driver.
The nurse named Eileen O' Malley was not surprisingly at work. Her husband Lee says she normally ends up having to park far away because there are no spots left when she gets home, usually late at night. “No one has a right to park in front of their own house, but what absolutely gorgeous caring neighbors who have done this for her.”
