Bono posted on the U2 Instagram page on St. Patrick’s day to share a song he wrote for the people of Italy, who have been singing through open windows as they are under lock down due to the coronavirus.
“For the Italians who inspired it,” he wrote, “for the Irish… for ANYONE who this St. Patrick’s day is in a tight spot and still singing. For the doctors, nurses, carers on the front line, it’s you we’re singing to.”
He adds in the video, “A little postcard from Dublin. On this St. Patrick’s Day, a little tune made up here about an hour ago. I think it’s called ‘Let Your Love Be Known.'”
