Tom Ford’s“anatomical breastplate” is going to becoming to high end stores soon. But it’ll cost you $15,000! Tom Ford says it takes a seriously technical process to make each custom piece… which some lucky shoppers will have the chance to take part in, soon.
Basically, you have to get a 3D scan taken of your torso, which comes up with the three-dimensional measurements necessary to “fit” the acrylic bustier. Once the breastplate it cut and sanded, it has to go through a chroming process, including custom coloring… then there’s a fitting… and finally, a leather lining is molded inside.
