Villagers discover who has been dropping off bundles of cash

Residents of a small village in the U.K. have been finding bundles of cash on the streets for years and now they know why. An anonymous couple has revealed they’ve been leaving 2000 pounds - approximately $2,600- in the area to help people in need.

Since 2014, locals have been finding the cash in their village - 12 times total - and turning it in to the police, who say any money handed in will be returned to the finder. The generous strangers told police they chose the village of Blackhall Colliery because they had an “emotional connection” to the place after being helped by a resident.
