The unique name you gave your baby probably isn't that unique anymore

Namberry has just come out with their list of the most popular baby names of the past decade. For the previous few decades the most popular names have been pretty similar. Christopher and Jessica, Matthew and Amanda, Joshua and Ashley. But beginning in the early 2000's new parents began trying to find 19th century names to give their children a unique characteristic. Now those names are the most common! LOL!

  • The top three girl names are Emma, Sophia, and Olivia.
  • The top three boy names were Noah, Liam and Jacob.
  • Those six names were given to more than to 150,000 babies in the US in the nine years from 2010 to 2018 (2019 numbers won’t be out until middle of next year).
