Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp may not be tying the knot after all. After eight years together (on and off) and getting engaged last year, a source tells “Us Weekly” that Meg has pulled the plug on the engagement.
Ryan first sparked rumors that she and the music star were through when she was spotted without her engagement ring on at the Governors Awards last weekend… and then again yesterday, the day the news of their split broke.
So far, there’s no official word from either of the stars… and only a vague explanation of why things didn’t work out. The source says that Ryan’s the one who called off the engagement, saying “she’s had enough” and “has no regrets.”
