A person who goes by Slathbog shared on Reddit that they recently scratched a stranger’s truck while parking. Rather than just moving their car and letting the owner return to a scratch they decided to leave a note for the owner of the truck with their number.
The unnamed driver texted Slathbog that it was no big deal, and that he scratch could buff out the damage, and thanked them for doing the right thing by leaving the note. Slathbog then offered to buy them their buffing supplies. The truck owner said "That's really kind of you man! You know what, if it's possible...use that money on somebody else. Whether it’s a gift for a friend or a complete stranger, if you could pay it forward I’d appreciate that.”
Slathbog was so blown away by that that he posted their text exchange on Reddit. Reddit readers loved it too as it was upvoted by more than 67,000 Redditors! It also prompted more than 650 comments, some of which had folks sharing their own personal accident or car scratching stories. Check them out here.
