Military Times reports that 6 year old Vivian Lord of Little Rock, Arkansas, was looking for a green army woman when she was playing and wrote letters to three companies, asking them to add females to their ranks. Her letter explains that her friend's mother is in the Army and that the pink version of the classic toy isn't enough of a change since the figures are all male, just cast in pink plastic. BMC Toys was on Vivian's mailing list and Jeff Imel responded, saying that he's been thinking of drafting some female figurines for years, Military Times reported.
