If you grew up in the 80's and 90's then you have memories of K-Mart. At their peak there was 2300 K-Mart's across the country. Target has about 2000 stores today.
The last full size K-Mart has announced it's closing forever on October 20th. If you want to road trip for one last look it's amazingly in one of the richest areas of the country, in the hamptons! Bridgehampton to be exact. After it's gone there will still be K Mart's in Guam and the Virgin Islands. There's also one smaller neighborhood K-Mart in Miami.
The Two Notch K-mart closed November of 2015. The West Columbia and Lexington locations survived till December 2019
