Woman Posts On Facebook And It Saves Her Baby's Life

At six months old, Helin Dinler was diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening liver disease and her mother, Anna Shushura, was told she would need a new liver or she would die before her 2nd birthday. The 36-year-old Scottish mom of two was heartbroken and determined to help her baby survive, but neither she, nor Helin’s dad Ozkan, or her nine-year-old sister Veronika ended up being a match. So, Anna made a desperate plea on Facebook .

27 year old Letty Fenlon, from Yorkshire, wanted to see if she could help. After undergoing numerous tests, Letty was confirmed as a match. "I was thrilled but I was nervous too because it is a major, high-risk surgery but I knew I had to do it. My boyfriend said to me 'it's fine they'll find someone else', but if everyone said that they would not have found anyone and that precious baby would have died without ever having a chance at seeing what life is really like.

Helin received her new liver without any complications. Anna said "Letty has given our daughter a second chance at life and we will be forever grateful to her. This incredible girl with a huge heart saved Helin's life.
