On May 16th, during an intense storm in Tomball, Texas, Bryan Pederson was waiting at a traffic light on his way home when his SUV was crushed by a falling oak tree. 10 drivers saw it happen and either drove by or turned around. Single mom Veronica Marin, who was with her three children, said not on her watch. She called 911 and then sprang from her car and into the storm! action to rescue Pederson. Another man named Travis joined her shortly thereafter. They managed to pry the door open and free Pederson from the wreckage, as the first responders arrived. Veronica left and he never got her name.
He finally tracked her down after posting about it on social media.
Once Bryan was out of the hospital he wanted to meet her. What he discovered was Veronica is experiencing serious financial challenges. Her home was in desperate need of repairs. She was also about to lose it because of missed payments. Bryan launched a Go Fund Me campaign to help Veronica. The campaign quickly went viral, and as of this morning has raised over $60,000!
Veronica is amazed by all of this! “God is good all the time. I do this for Mr. Bryan without expecting anything in return. I am very grateful to God because he put me in that moment with him. I didn't know that that moment was actually for me and my children!"
Bryan says "She is an amazing human being for what she did for me. Veronica a hero that is so incredibly humble and God-fearing, and not want anything in return, except the well-being of a complete stranger."
