Vet Has Volunteer Group Stunning Police With Their Effectiveness

Nick Haas is a veteran who likes to ride his motorcycle around the Portland OR area. During the lockdowns of 2021 crime started spiking in his community. Then one day it hit Nick! He came out and his beloved Harley was gone. The police explained the chances of recovering it were slim at best as they were understaffed and overwhelmed.

Nick said fine "I'll do it myself". A week later he and a few of his vet buddies found his bike and took it back. Then a friend told Nick he was in the same predicament. Nick and his buddies went back to work and found his bike a few days later. Then he started hearing all kinds of horror stories of friends and neighbors losing cars, trucks , bikes and every time of vehicle including boats. Nick started Guardians Theft Recovery. In 2022 they recovered 50 vehicles!

In 2023 they grew in size and results bringing back 1000 vehicles!

Here we are in July of 2024 and they have hit an amazing record! This week they recovered their 3000th vehicle! It was a special recovery as it was the motorcycle of Cyndi Eskins late husband. "Besides his family this was his favorite possession. My children and I feel closer to him when we see it in the garage". It took 3 months for Nick and his pals working with local sheriff's in Yamhill and Clackamas counties to track down "Cyndi's "family friend" who picked the lock on the bike and stole it".

Nick says some of these thieves hold pretty serious grudges against him. “Last November, an individual came by at three in the morning with a hunting rifle and thought he was going to be successful in taking me out. Luckily, I didn’t get injured. And luckily, we caught up with him shortly after that incident and made sure that that didn’t happen again,”

Nick loves it all though. "Vet's are a special group that want to serve. We aren't afraid of dangerous situations and nothing beats seeing someone reunited with their vehicle".
