The South Carolina Education Lottery put out a press release regarding a crazy story from Spartanburg.
A lady bought a $5 scratch off at the Circle K on E. Main St. She then threw it away. Lucky for her it landed in the trash with the face up. Her husband looked in the trash and saw three 12's. He said "that's a winning ticket"!
She scratched the card some more and uncovered the $200,000 win!
Even Circle K is happy they found it as they got a $2000 commission.
SC law allows for lottery winners to remain anonymous, which this couple has chosen to do. Although I bet the husband was against it. LOL!
