It's August 2010, the first day of sixth grade at Braden River Middle School in Bradenton, Florida. Sarah Dill meets Cade Wessel for the first time. They become good friends but never date. Fall of 2013 they start high school but they are going to different schools.
As they are about to start senior year in 2015 Cade asks Sarah if he can get out of the friend zone and into the dating zone. They date the entire senior year and in the Spring of 2016 Cade told friends he was going to marry her. They mocked him because she was going off to become a Gator at UF while he was heading to Annapolis and the Naval academy. He boldly put in his yearbook quote "Twenty bucks I marry Sarah Dill".
Somehow they were able to keep the relationship alive despite the distance.
Cade graduated and in 2021 was fortunately stationed back in Florida at Naval Air Base Pensacola.
In 2023 he popped the question he had been waiting years to ask.
This year they walked down the aisle and as Cade walked back with his new bride on his arm one of his high school buddies handed him $20.
