In Lawrenceville, Georgia 25 year old FedEx driver Quin’Darius Champion, witnessed something he says he'll never forget. A pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit a Toyota Camry. The first person to get to the Camry was a woman whose house the accident happened in front of. Tammy Ake says "I ran out with no shoes, and then I realized glass was everywhere, But the woman in the Camry was obviously pregnant, knocked out, and her car was starting to catch on fire, Another neighbor joined me and we tried like crazy to get her out but nothing was working".
Quin'Darius says he was running from a half block away to help. "When I saw the fire I knew we had big problems and needed to make my first effort my best." He ripped the door off and was able to get her out of the vehicle just as the Camry became completely engulfed.
Quin'Darius tells Fox 5 that his mother taught him the most important thing you'll do in life is be a blessing to others. The unnamed driver is currently recovering at a local hospital but both her and the baby are expected to be fine.
