Boy With A Problem Discovers How Much Neighbors Love Him

Parker Pannell is a 13-year-old student at South Junior High in Boise, Idaho. Parker's vision began deteriorating suddenly, with blind spots appearing in his central vision just before Christmas. Doctors are baffled about the cause and keep running tests but in the meantime his vision gets worse every day. There is a chance he will go completely blind at some point.

Parker, mentioned in an interview about his situation that he loves American history, and is afraid he'll never have the opportunity to see for himself some of our countries greatest landmarks.

KTVB-TV reports that families around Boise came together to raise funds to send him on a dream trip to Washington D.C. and New York City. 150 people raised more than $14-thousand to send the teen and his family on a trip of a lifetime.

Thanks to the support of the community, Parker and his family were able to take the trip, where he experienced all the sights of the nation's capital and New York City. Parker's mom expressed immense gratitude for the outpouring of support, describing it as overwhelming and heartwarming. Although Parker's vision loss remains a challenge, the trip provided him with unforgettable memories and moments of joy during a difficult time in his life.
