5 days ago absolutely no one in Nashville had heard of Oliver Anthony. Then with the help of a Youtube channel called Radio WV he went viral. Radiowv about section says they were created by two broke college students with passion for soulful and real music. We seen the vast array of talent within our region and wanted to create a platform in which we could share it with the world.
Oliver says this was the first time he recorded a song using anything other than a phone. This was his first time with a real microphone and real video equipment. It appears that this was recorded at Olivers house in Farmville VA.
It was released on Thursday and this morning has been seen by over 8 million people! By Sunday the song was so huge that he replaced the headliner at a concert at Morris Farm Market in Barco, North Carolina.
Jamey Johnson came to see the show and then jumped on stage to sing his biggest hit "In Color" with Oliver.
This was the first ever live performance of Olivers new hit Rich Men North Of Richmond
I imagine this will be quite the week for Oliver as Nashville is scrambling to sign this guy.
