When a person cut in front of Stephen Munoz Espinoza, it changed his life.
“It was the end of a long day, and I was tired,” the Delray Beach FL man recalls. “I stopped at Publix and was about to buy a lottery ticket at the machine when a man cut right in front of me. Instead of saying something, I decided I'd just buy a ticket at the counter instead.”
The 43-year-old picked up a scratch-off card and after playing it, realized that he’d won $1-million. “I can't believe I won a million dollars!," he says.
Last week, Munoz Espinoza traveled to Florida lotto headquarters in Tallahassee to pick up his winnings. He chose to take the one-time lump-sum of $820-thousand. He says that he and his wife plan to purchase a home for their family with the money.
