Las Vegas animal shelter The Animal Foundation tweeted after Christmas that they had three adorable little kittens that would soon be up for adoption. They’d named the kittens Frontier, Delta, and Southwest after the airlines, but following the recent cancellation crisis at Southwest, they changed the one kitten’s name to Spirit.
The next day, Frontier Airlines caught wind of their namesake kitten and responded to The Animal Foundation sweetening the pot for whoever ends up adopting the kittens. “We'd love to donate two flight vouchers each to the people who adopt Delta and Spirit; and four vouchers to the person who adopts Frontier. 💚🐱,” the post reads.
Frontier sent The Animal Foundation the vouchers and the shelter will hold on to them until the kittens are ready to be adopted. “The adoption organization has the vouchers in hand and has expressed their gratitude,” says Frontier’s communications director Jennifer de la Cruz. “The kittens are a bit young to be adopted out yet, according to what the organization has indicated, but should be ready for adoption in a month or so.”
