In October of 2008 the BBC reported that police were stunned to discover that 1300 feet of beach was stolen from a resort in Jamaica. They estimate at least 500 dump truck loads were carried off over night. The value of the sand was placed at 108 million dollars! The Prime Minister ordered a federal investigation as well. 14 years later investigators don't know who stole the sand, where it went, or whose trucks were involved. It's considered one of the greatest crimes in history because of the scale and lack of clues.
