Tampa's news leader Fox 13 reported a crazy story yesterday out of Pinellas Park.
Dozens of first responders spent most of Monday morning looking for a man that was stuck in a manhole…they think. The episode started when city workers opened a manhole cover and found a man down the storm drain, who asked them for a drink. The workers gave him a Mountain Dew and he vanished. Not sure if he was stuck or just walked out of the end of the drain, a search and rescue operation including a drone and cameras failed to find him; officials say the street was closed for several hours while they searched.
They never found him, so police are asking the public if they know this man or if the man himself hears this story to contact them so they can call off the search.
