Martha Stewart has a new podcast on iHeart Radio and she's out promoting it with interviews. In this one with Insider she offers a unique perspective on foods kids shouldn't be eating.
"I don't think children should be fed chicken fingers and mashed potatoes or French fries. I don't think that's really what it's all about. It's about exposing children to as much as possible."
Some parents pushed back on that and said Martha was basically out of touch. She says her grandchildren are willing to try most things because we always vary it. "They do not turn anything away. I took them on a safari to Africa, they ate ostrich. They ate all kinds of strange things." Her grandkids are Jude, 11 and Truman, 10, and she says they mostly eat fish and are huge fans of caviar and oysters.
I'm guessing the caviar & oysters line isn't adding to the credibility of understanding what it's like to raise kids today.
