The Most Popular Hotel Room In America

Dozens of people are waiting to stay in the Indiana hotel where an escaped Alabama inmate and corrections officer stayed before their capture. According to an employee at the Motel 41 in Evansville, Indiana 65 people are on the waitlist to stay in room 150. That's where Casey White and Vicky White stayed during a manhunt that spanned 11 days. The couple was found on May 9th.

Other infamous hotel rooms in America include room 228 Hotel del Coronado where Kate Morgan checked in on November 24, 1892, and was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head five days later. Since no one claimed her, she was dubbed "the Beautiful Stranger" and is rumored to haunt guests in her old room. Celebs like Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Babe Ruth, and Charlie Chaplin have all stayed there.

In NYC The Waldorf Astoria room 39 C was rented by Charlie Ross for $800 a month in 1936. He lived there for several months while setting up what was to become the NY Crime Families. He was arrested in the lobby under his name real Charles "Lucky" Luciano
