Sean “Diddy” Combs, is hosting the Billboard Music Awards. He says "One of the things I’m doing directly is un-canceling the canceled,” he told Billboard in regards to inviting Morgan Wallen and Travis Scott to perform. “To have Morgan and Travis be able to come back and touch the stage again with the mind-set of getting a second chance at life,” he said. “Everybody in the room is getting a second chance at life, you know, because we’re back inside with no masks on.”
I can't speak on Travis, but Morgan is un-cancelable. He had the biggest song of the year and is the hottest tour in the country right now! He also just dropped an awesome new song which you can hear below. All of this and today is his 29th birthday!
Besides Morgan Wallen & Travis Scott the show will feature performances from Dan + Shay, Elle King and Miranda Lambert, Machine Gun Kelly, Ed Sheeran, Silk Sonic, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Florence + The Machine, Maxwell, Becky G and Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro.
In addition, Mary J. Blige is set to receive this the Icon Award and she’ll also perform on the show.
Leading this year's country nominees is Chris Stapleton, who is up for four awards, including Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, Top Country Tour for “All American Road show" and Top Country Song for "You Should Probably Leave."
