A woman on TikTok recently share video of her out to dinner, showing a bowl of pasta with a glass of hot water next to it. She asked users, “Does anybody know why I get hot water every time I go out to eat?" After it was viewed over 160,000 times, she revealed that the water is there so she can disinfect her silverware to make sure it’s clean.
Well, folks had some strong opinions about her behavior, with a lot of folks supporting the move.
- "I do this every time," one person shared, while another added "Now that I think of it, I think I’ll bring my own. Didn’t realize how dirty silverware is till now."
- She also got support from those who worked at restaurants with one noting, "I worked at a restaurant before, I can promise you they don’t clean the silverware right.”
- But some folks did think she was being a little ridiculous.
- "To annoy servers that's why,” one noted, while another added, "Hot water does not clean your silverware and it's annoying for you to ask for it."
