For the 31st year in a row, the Labrador Retriever tops the American Kennel Club’s list of America’s most popular dog breed. It isn’t much of a surprise the Lab earns the top spot, since it’s considered a family friendly pooch, with an eager-to-please temperament. But while the top spot remains unchanged, there was a bit of a shakeup in the Top Five, with the Poodle returning to the Top Five, for the first time since 1997. Also, the Bulldog is out of the Top Five this year for the first time since 2012.
