Viagra Fights Alzheimer's According To Cleveland Clinic

Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic poured over six years of medical data on seven million people in their 70s and made a surprising discovery. The results showed that adults who took sildenafil, the main ingredient in Viagra, were 69% less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease.

Sildenafil is also used to treat high blood pressure, and separate laboratory projects showed it can increase brain cell growth and stop harmful proteins from building up in the brain. The most surprising part of the results is that Viagra performed better than two treatments being used against Alzheimer’s in clinical trials.
