A dog in Arizona was on a walk with her owner when she helped save a cat’s life. Koda the husky and her human were strolling past Fearless Kitty Rescue in Fountain Hills when the dog beelined toward a zipped-up cooler that was stuffed in a plastic bag.
Koda kept sniffing at the cooler until her owner opened it up and found a black cat inside - alive! The cat was okay, thankfully, and she’s now being cared for by Fearless Kitty Rescue. They’ve named her Juliane, which means fearless in Danish, and she’s doing just fine after being abandoned like that.
“Cat was saved by a dog, you don’t hear that every day,” says Fearless Kitty Rescue spokesperson Teryn Jones. “We think she is the true definition of fearless. We're going to find who did this and make sure they're arrested. You just can't do this to animals. Well, you can't do this to anybody, let's be honest. Animals don't have a voice; they can't tell you what's going on, so it's important that those of us who love them need to fight for them."
