Bill and Melinda Gates’ are getting a divorce and the world is fascinated because Bill is worth 130 billion and there’s no prenup. Melinda filed on Monday stating "This marriage is irretrievably broken".
Also on Monday Bill gave Melinda a gift worth almost 2 billion dollars!
TMZ reports that his investment firm, Cascade Investment LLC, sent her more than 14 million shares of Canadian National Railway Co. and more than 2-point-9 million shares of AutoNation Inc.
Based on yesterday’s stock prices, the shares are worth more than $1-point-8 billion. That sum also includes about $1-point-53 billion in Canadian National Railway shares and about $310 million in AutoNation shares.
Is this an attempt to buy her off since she could go after 65 billion or so?
