Hilary Duff says it's important to be “open and honest” with her children. So when her daughter Mae was born last month, it was important to her that nine-year-old Luca was in the room so he could see it. She wanted him to see “how strong women are and what childbirth really looks like.”
Appearing on the “Informed Pregnancy” podcast, Duff says she wants to “normalize” conversations about women’s health with her son, considering “all the women that are going to be in his life.” That way when he’s ready to welcome a child with his future partner, he’ll be “able to respect the way she wants to be able to have a baby,” whether that’s at home or in the hospital.
