USA Today reports that Americans consume an estimated 6.3 billion gallons of beer per year, which comes out to about 26 gallons per adult. Of course not every adult drinks, or drinks beer, so for beer drinkers it means they're drinking even more than that! It's the #1 alcoholic beverage with 38% of American's listing it as their top choice. So if money and calories was no object what would they drink? We know what they do drink from looking at the sales figures. When it comes to sales Bud Light is the champ selling 33 million barrels a year. Coors light is a distant 2nd with 17 million barrels, Budweiser sells 16 millions, Miller Lite 13 million, Corona with 9 million rounds out the top 5.
