England is consumed today with Royal Talk but the best may have been this morning on Good Morning Britain which is on ITV and is the wilder version of the BBC Breakfast show. Good Morning Britain is co hosted by 2 people who don't like each other which makes it even wilder!
Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have lots of tension normally. Yesterday she passionately defended Meghan and Harry. “They have both said that they felt controlled within the royal family, that they felt trapped, that they felt at risk, that their security was removed. Race, obviously, they claimed, played a part in that, and they made very serious accusations, as Piers says. But Meghan has, within this interview, said it got so bad that she was suicidal. And I think a lot of people will feel extremely concerned about that.”
Piers replied "OK, OK, let’s have the names. Who did you go to? What did they say to you? I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she says. I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report, and the fact that she’s fired up this onslaught against our royal family, I think is contemptible.”
So today was expected to be a hot show. Commentator Alex Beresford berated the press for their “horrible” treatment of Harry & Meghan. He went after Piers for saying that Harry and William went through the same thing in regards to their mother dying and Harry needs to figure out what William has done and start doing that.
“And I hear Piers say William has gone through the same thing but, do you know what, siblings experience tragedy in their life and one will be absolutely fine and brush it off and the other will not be able to deal with it so strongly and that is clearly what has happened with Harry in this situation. He walked behind his mother’s coffin at a tender, tender age in front of the globe. That is going to shape a young boy for the rest of his life, so I think we all need to take a step back, and I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle, you’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program. And I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her…”
Morgan then stood up and said: “OK, I’m done with this” and walked off set, saying: “Sorry, no… sorry, can’t do this…” as he walked Beresford called his actions "diabolical behavior".
