Leticia Flores-Gonzalez helped her twin four-year-olds, Luna and Gianella, write their letters to Santa and on December 1st, they put them inside balloons and released them from their home in Liberal, Kansas. Here's a video of the cuties about to do just that.
It was a fun activity for the girls, and the mom never expected the balloons to be found, but one was. On January 2nd, Alvin Bamburg discovered Luna’s letter while hunting in Grand Cane, Louisiana, some 650 miles away. He posted about his find on Facebook and thanks to the power of social media, he was able to track down the family and organized a way for people to fulfill the wishes on both girl’s lists.
Luna had asked for candy, a Spider-Man ball, a Frozen doll, a puppy and a My Little Pony. Gianella also wanted My Little Pony and candy, but asked for stickers, flowers, and earrings.
All of their Christmas wishes were filled and now Leticia says the gifts that keep pouring in are being donated to foster kids in Kansas and they are so thankful!
Leticia says she feels like this was a divine arrangement. “I believe that we don’t meet people by accident. I feel like we were supposed to meet Alvin and we’ll be friends for a lifetime.” Alvin adds that he and the “kind and loving family’ now share a special bond and that he’s “thankful” they’re now in each other’s lives.
